Yesterday a commenter was looking for an update on former East Aurora Mayor, and current New York State Senate candidate David DiPietro. The Buffalo News has the update, which can be found here.

Hobbes thanks for the update but I did read this morning that an order of protection was placed against DiPietro regarding the incident. This is all we need in Albany representing WNY another Mike Cole wanna be who can prey on interns.

DiPietro should hook up with Dan Rivera. Both obviously love to victimize women.

See, harassing woman is limited to either party. At least Dan isn't running for office. I'm sure women will be flocking to the DiPietro campaign.

First Anon, apples and oranges?? Was Ann Leary Mayor DiPietro's intern?

You must be a fan of the super wealthy that need to spend their money on anything and everything, someone with no political savvy or experience, someone that supports abortion and disregards the rights of gun owners....you must love Jane Corwin!!

Thanks for your totally biased opinion.

Realist, you had me until the end, because every attribute you just stated can be found in Jack Davis.

You wrote: "You must be a fan of the super wealthy that need to spend their money on anything and everything, someone with no political savvy or experience". Yep, Jack Davis to a tee.

Dear Realist, evidently your liberal views allow a man to abuse women. I for one am teaching my son to respect a woman the same way my father respected my mother and taught me. In my book any abuse is wrong and should be considered as a judge of ones character. Character also determines ones values which in turn determines how individuals feel about an issue. If you feel DiPietro and Cole are the type of role models and elected officials you want to represent you in public office go ahead and cast your vote for them as the US constitution grants you but remember you can't t each a dog new tricks and the 2 of them will repeat their actions at some point in time.

What DiPietro did does not compare to Mike Cole. Your obvious one-sidedness is blinding your abilty to see that.

Here is another news story that you probably will not see linked to DiPietro's website anytime soon. What a piece of work that guy is!

I guess the former Mayor's hometown newspaper won't be his friend anymore.

The "victim" is a political hack with ties to the party, not an intern. Sorry this is not the same as Mike Cole. She waited 8 hours to press charges after being 30 feet from the police department door when the incident happened. Was the comment rude and of bad taste...yes. But calling someone a piece of "#@!*" is not harassment.
