Breaking News - LPD's Eggert Hit By Car

Niagara Times has learned that Lockport Police Chief Larry Eggert has been hit by a car while riding his bicycle this evening. Eggert has suffered a broken leg, a broken ankle and broken ribs. The incident apparently occurred at the intersection of High Street and Beattie Avenue in the city of Lockport. The vehicle suffered significant damage, including a dented hood and smashed windshield. Eggert underwent a CAT scan, which revealed no damage.

We wish Eggert, who is one of the nicest people you'll meet, a strong recovery. Eggert is expected to be laid-up for 12 weeks.

Anyone wishing to send Larry a card may do so at:

You hate to hear things like this. Get well soon Larry, the LPD is a much stronger, better force with you in action.
