I have become accustomed to Niagara Gazette reporter Jill Terreri's horribly slanted columns, but her recent piece was so disgustingly distorted, I felt compelled to respond.

We are all very much aware of the fact that Terreri is nothing but a mouth piece for Dennis Virtuoso and the Minority Caucus, but when she attempts to portray her opinion as "news", it's nothing but a slap in the face to the people of this community.

In this piece, Terreri carries the ball for Virtuoso again, taking his accusation that Henry Wojtaszek needs to be investigated for his role in the AES PILOT. Wojtaszek works for a firm, Harris Beach, that had some involvement with the IDA. Of course, Harris Beach has 250 attorneys, but since Wojtaszek is in Niagara County, AES is in Niagara County and the IDA is in Niagara County, he must have masterminded the whole deal! How idiotic.

A few uneducated, outspoken individuals have have been clamoring for the collective heads of the Legislature and Wojtaszek over this deal, stating that the Legislature is ultimately responsible for the actions of the IDA. The last time I looked, there is only one Legislator who works for Harris Beach sitting in the legislative chambers: Kyle Andrews.

Why is no one questioning Andrews' connection to this deal? He is closer to this deal than Wojtaszek could ever be. He VOTED on those IDA appointments. He WORKS for Harris Beach.
Every single resolution that has come up on this matter, he has voted on. He has never abstained or recused himself from any vote due to a potential conflict of interest. How is this possible? If there is anyone that should be reviewed by the Ethics Committee for his involvement, it's Andrews. As a matter of fact, his role should be reviewed by the State Bar Association as well.

As for Terreri, she can continue doing Virtuoso's dirty work. Obviously she doesn't have a problem with it. I guess that's what a degree from Columbia gets you: The ability to pass off your opinion as news.

Virtuoso has no concept of the private sector as he has never earned an honest dollar in his life. He's all about making money on the backs of taxpayers.

It's amazing he never said a word when Renae Kimble and her band of bandits were robbing the IDA blind.

Better watch yourself, Dennis might send his Hair Squad after you and give you a teasing and coloring at tax payer expense.

I actually think Terreri's reporting has gotten better over time when it comes to covering issues. But you are absolutely right about the politics.

I'm not so sure if she is biased or just takes quotes and prints them without getting the other side of the story. She is clearly is politically naive and Dennis and Rivera have figured out how to play her.

Having said that, my hope is she will continue to get smarter politically and will become as competent as Terese Martinez used to be covering the county beat.

Your comments about Andrews and harris beach are pretty interesting. I'd be very curious to see how an ethics panel would look at that. Unfortunately, my crystal ball cannot tell me.

With all the poor grammar and bad sentence structure in her columns it seems like English is a second language to her....wait a minute, maybe she didn't go to Columbia, she learned journalism in Colombia...English really is her second language.

Noone fails out of Ivy League schools once they are in, it would make the Ivy League schools look like they were failing at their craft of teaching, which is of course impossible. SO, they pass the goofballs that get in and are liberal enough for the schools and are willing to spend the $50,000 a year for their 'education' consisting of heavy drinking and liberal indocternation. Take any Ivy Leaguer's words with a grain of salt, or a coffee bean or ten.

The real issue we should take from this is who has nicer hair? Virtuoso or John Edwards? I'd say Virtuoso definitely hasthe best 'bang for the buck' considering he gets his done at Fantastic Sams and Edwards pays some $200 to get it cut every two weeks.

Dennis definitely has the best hair, hands down. Maybe that's one thing he and Henry Wojtaszek have in common...really nice hair.

Maybe this nice hair commonality could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship between the two.

Dennis does have nice har. I wonder, has anyone ever FOIL'd his records to see who paid for it?

If I remember correctly, Legislators were also entitled to cosmetic surgery.

The real question is when does Jill Terreri get her information anyways ... the Niagara Falls Reporter and Buffalo News is always two steps ahead of her. Why doesn't she investigate the horrific building conditions in Niagara Falls where Dennis has supposedly been working to clean up the neighborhoods as a building inspector. I haven't see any progress in the 25 years he has been there. Now that's something she should be writing about!

She really went to Columbia? Good grief...was it Jill that investigated and wrote that "hair-raising" article about what the legislators were passing out for Halloween a couple of years ago? Now that was some political news!
